Apparently, we're all gonna die.

No film at 11; the ABC's decided to hold on to the story while "people are voting". Unless they can confirm it, or make a lot of ad revenue from it, or both.

Here's the Washington Post story about it. Apparently, an English-language tape, obtained in Pakistan by ABC news, shows a hooded man threatening America.

On the one hand, <yawn>, what, again? On the other, it is a little out of pattern; usually it's grand claims of massive armies sweeping through our cities, and then the FBI arrests a cab driver.

Then again, maybe we've discovered what Rove's dressing as for Halloween.

Discuss.

I didn't see that quote in the WaPo story. Link?

Quoting... by notafurry (3.00 / 0) #8 Thu Oct 28, 2004 at 12:18:58 PM EST
an "unnamed source" quoting a transcript of the tape that could only be obtained from ABC or the Guv'mint.

Eh. I thought it was amusing. And it's a reasonably accurate point; the Post article quotes an ABC official saying much the same thing in different words.

I don't think this would really be an "October Surprise", but it's interesting to see ABC obliquely accuse the administration of trying to turn it into one.
